About Alyssa Bass

Alyssa Bass is the Senior Audience Editor at Mississippi Today, where she leads distribution efforts for Mississippi Today. She previously served as the Distribution and Engagement Specialist at Mississippi Today's parent company, Deep South Today.
 

Before joining the Deep South Today network, Alyssa freelanced for the Jackson Free Press and completed a fellowship with PBS FRONTLINE.
 

Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in Black Studies from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2020.

She is currently based in Kenner, Louisiana.
